About the Uttlesford Project

For my final major project I decided to explore and photograph the three official towns of the Essex district of Uttlesford. The towns which all have an official town status are Saffron Walden, Great Dunmow and Thaxted.

The aim of this project was to create a photographic record of the three towns as they are today. To do this I photographed various streets and buildings which I felt represented the three towns in their current state.

I chose to focus my FMP on these three towns because of their historic relevance to Britain's past dating back as far as medieval Britain.
